Areas of Expertise
Professor Horton teaches and writes in the areas of adjudication, family law, intellectual property and jurisprudence.
Professional Experience
Horton practiced law in Chicago with Sonnenschein for four years. He joined the USD School of Law faculty in 1973.
Honors and Affiliations
Horton was articles editor of the Southern California Law Review. He supervises USD's judicial internship program.
Key Works
Horton’s publications include compiling and editing several volumes of his students’ work for the Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues, the most recent which are 20 Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues (2012), themed "California Alimony: Part 1," and 19 Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues (2010), themed "Development in Trademark Law."
