The winning regions hit the 11% alumni participation goal and will award a scholarship to a student from their area. The scholarship recipients will be announced at the start of the Fall semester, so stay tuned! Learn more about the Torero Regional Rally and why it's important below.
What is the Torero Regional Rally?
Torero Regional Rally is a USD Regional Alumni Chapter-based campaign to foster Torero pride, student scholarships, and alumni giving.
The goal is for each of the USD Regional Alumni Chapters to achieve a 10% participation rate for donations and gifts to USD. Each region that reaches the 10% alumni participation rate will earn a scholarship for a student from their region! Every gift counts! In terms of participation, a gift of $20 counts the same as a gift of $2,000.
Why is it important?
Alumni participation is critical for a number of reasons:
- Giving provides an opportunity for alumni to express gratitude and say “thanks” for their USD experiences.
- Funds received from alumni donations are a crucial source of financial aid for students.
- Donating to USD helps our university maintain its standard of excellence by allowing it to attract and retain the best and brightest students, faculty, and staff, as well as build and maintain state-of-the-art campus facilities.
- Alumni donations factor into USD's national ranking.
When is the deadline?
Any gift made between July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022 will count for this year's Regional Rally. If you haven't made your gift yet, use the "Give Now" button below to complete your transaction and help a student from your region win a scholarship!
