Professor McAllister received a J.D. from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley. She writes and teaches in the areas of climate, environment and energy as well as comparative and international law. Before joining the University of San Diego law faculty, Professor McAllister clerked for the Honorable Fern M. Smith of the Northern District of California and also worked for Earthjustice and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Regional Counsel. Professor McAllister is also an adjunct associate professor at the University of California at San Diego’s School of International Relations and Pacific Studies.
