I am representing my company today at the USD Career Fair and it made me think back on all the help you provided me over the last few years in regard to career preparation. Without all of your help and guidance I would not be in the situation that I am today and I can not express enough how much I appreciate it.

I'd just like to start off by acknowledging what a pleasure it has been interacting with you thus far. I really appreciate the consideration you've shown me as a complete stranger: spending the time to talk at Alcala Bazaar, conversing with my mother at the BMC Dialogue, introducing me to important individuals also at the BMC Dialogue. You make me feel very lucky to go to a school with such an endearing faculty.

THANK YOU for all the work you do at the BMC. Your work does not go unnoticed and I appreciate all you do especially since I am a young person of color trying to enter into a white male-dominated industry.

I cannot thank you enough for all your ongoing support throughout this entire process. In short, thank you for your insight, which helped me see clearer when it was most important and thank you for empowering me. You gave me the reassurance I needed to follow through with my decision. I am eager to get to work and proud to represent USD.

Jackie and Julie offer a transformational career counseling program that bridges academic potential with real-world placement—through individualized resume reviews, targeted McQuaig assessments, and strategic relationship building support. In my current role, I leveraged Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate Career services to recruit for vacancies on my team and utilized Jackie’s and Julie’s insight to vet candidates more rigorously. Their structured approach allowed me to see more deeply into candidates’ motivations, strengths, and cultural fit—beyond what a cover letter or transcript could show. The program’s mentorship connections and industry ties also opened doors to candidates I might not have discovered otherwise. This is not merely “career support”—it’s a value-add partnership that strengthens academic outcomes and real-world impact.

Jackie went the extra mile to make sure she was helping me out. Helping me find the perfect company and the perfect position. Right now, I’m in a great spot, a great position. If Jackie and the BMC hadn’t helped me make the connection, I really don’t think I’d be where I am today.

My success is thanks to your support and the BMC as a whole. This is a happy but nostalgic end to one of the best stages of my life. And count on me to attend future events. I will continue to be in San Diego so count on my support for anything in the future.
