University of San Diego Army ROTC is part of the Aztec Battalion, headquartered at San Diego State University, which serves the greater San Diego Area in order to train Cadets/Students to become future Officers in our Armed Forces and leaders in the professional business world.

Scholarships

The Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps offers two scholarship programs in the form of Line and Nursing scholarships. To qualify for a campus-based two-four year scholarship, students must:

  1. Be enrolled in the Army ROTC program at San Diego State and be full-time students at any accredited four-year university in San Diego County
  2. Full-time students attending local junior colleges must have completed at least 30 semester hours and transfer to a four-year school before beginning the ROTC Advanced Course of instruction
  3. Additionally, students must be U.S. citizens, hold a cumulative college GPA of 2.5, be physically and medically qualified, and possess good moral character

Each scholarship package pays:

Full tuition and mandatory fees or $10,000 per year for room and board

Book allowance of $1,200 per academic year

Tax-free monthly stipend of $300-$500 depending on class year
