Why did you choose USD? What made USD stand out in comparison to other schools with a similar program?
I chose USD because of the unique dual credential. I was drawn to this as I wanted the graduate this program with the most pathways possible for employment. I was not sure if I wanted to do multiple subject or special education so this was perfect.
What do you hope to do after grad school?
I hope to teach in San Diego for a few years and ultimately get involved in administration and leadership.
Are you currently working? If so, do you work full-time or part-time, and what do you do?
I work part-time as a nanny.
What are you most excited for as you begin your program?
I am excited for the opportunity to live in a new place and learn from new professors and peers.
What advice can you share with prospective applicants?
Don't be afraid to ask questions! Reach out to current students and staff at the schools you are looking at to get your questions answered.
