Lecturer I
Desiree Aspiras, LMFT, teaches Family Therapy Theories II (MFTS 524) and Human Diversity (MFTS 532). Desiree earned her Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego and BA in Political Science from UCLA. She completed her practicum training at UCSD Outpatient Psychiatric Services. Works with individuals, couples, and families in private practice and currently teaches counseling and psychology courses in several programs in San Diego. As an educator, therapist, and facilitator she is focused on integrating creative, contemplative, and embodied practices into her work in mental health, higher education, and social justice.
