Reframing Neurodiversity as a Social Justice Imperative in Higher Education (Virtual Summit)
In this virtual summit, participants will engage in conversations about what is happening on their respective campus related to supporting neurodiverse students, faculty and staff. To that end, the Center for Embodied Equity and Neurodiversity (CEEN) at the University of San Diego will share stories and outcomes from a pilot project called: Neurodiversity Equity and Trauma Informed Approaches (NETA), a certificate program designed for Community College professionals who work closely with neurodiverse students with a special emphasis on the needs of men of color. We will end with a dialogue about current research and existing gaps.
