Identify foundational interdisciplinary concepts, theories, and approaches to support educators and individuals in leadership roles as well as professionals across multiple sectors to effectively respond to the diverse needs of individuals who have or may experience trauma in their personal or professional lives.
Understand ways in which to nurture professional sustainability in stressful environments, context-sensitive trauma literacy in working with others, and an awareness of various initiatives and restorative approaches across disciplines, through a generative framework of resilience, growth and hope.
Apply ethical principles and considerations in approaching trauma from a holistic, human-centered approach.
Demonstrate an understanding of trauma-informed and restorative practices within respective contexts in an applied culminating project.
Implement effective and professional collaborative strategies to support those we serve in collaboration with stakeholders (families, other educators, paraprofessionals, administration, district personnel, community-based organizations and outside agencies).
