Regardless of the field you pursue, a PhD in Leadership Studies will enable you to address some of our communities' most pressing needs. Because of its multidisciplinary nature, a leadership degree instills students with listening, introspection and critical thinking skills. You will emerge from the program as an empowered researcher, scholar, educator and practitioner.
Requirements for the Degree
Doctoral students are required to maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average in their coursework throughout the program. A grade of less than “B-” is not acceptable for credit in this program, and the courses in which the grade was earned will not count toward the doctoral degree. USD's policy on repetition of courses will be enforced.
These courses are required for all students and will be taken as part of a cohort model; courses taken at other institutions will not be substituted.
