Active Assailant Preparedness
It is stressful to imagine an active shooter or other assailant in your place of work or learning, but you can create a bias for survival if you prepare ahead of time. Wherever you are, in the event of an active shooter or other type of assailant, there are actions you can take.
The Department of Public Safety will be holding Campus Emergency Procedures Review and Guidance for Surviving an Active Shooter/Assailant Situation presentations for the USD community. All USD community members are encouraged to attend.
The training sessions will take place during the following date/s and time/s:
| Date | Time | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday, October 9th, 2025 | 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 pm. | Saints Tekakwitha & Serra 104 B |
Please RSVP with Captain Quinton “Q” Kawahara at qkawahara@sandiego.edu if you are interested in attending.
The Department of Public Safety can also make special presentations to individual departments, student organizations, or any USD group that would like to receive the information.
Please contact Captain Quinton “Q” Kawahara at qkawahara@sandiego.edu if you would like to learn more about the individual group presentations.
