Sponsored Programs Administrator
Kathleen Dechowitz joined the University of San Diego’s Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) in March 2020. In her role as Research Administrator, she collaborates with faculty, administrators and staff with the preparation and submission of competitive proposals for external funding. Kathleen advises on compliance issues and works in partnership with faculty regarding applications and budgets that comply with University policy and agency-specific guidelines.
Prior to her position in OSP, Kathleen worked in Grants and Contracts Accounting, where she provided post-award administrative support services for USD’s sponsored programs.
Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Redlands, and a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration from the University of San Diego. She is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators.
