Faculty Orientation Eligibility

All tenure-line faculty and full-time benefits-based faculty members on multiple (3+) year contracts are eligible to attend New Faculty Orientation (NFO) if they are new to the university. The Provost’s office pays for associated costs of attendance for eligible tenure-line faculty; academic units pay for eligible faculty on multiple year contracts to attend NFO. All faculty members, regardless of new or revised contract terms, are eligible to attend NFO one time only. Tenure-line faculty members are expected to attend the 4-day orientation session in August, followed by the ongoing NFO sessions during the academic year closest to the initial contract start date.
