Buen Camino Peregrinos
The Camino de Santiago is a centuries-old pilgrimage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site also known in English as the Way of St. James. The spiritual journey honors the life of the Apostle St. James, whose remains are believed to rest within the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in the Galicia region of northwest Spain. All roads lead to Santiago de Compostela, and each year hundreds of thousands walk the routes – some stretching as far as France – the reasons? As many as the miles. Over the next week, I will be walking the Camino with fellow USD pilgrims beginning in Portugal and along the way will share my own Camino experience on this blog. Buen Camino!
