
Special Assistant to the President
Elaine has served as Special Assistant to the President at the University of San Diego since 2000. In this capacity, she serves as the Director of Administrative Services for the President's Office and the Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trustees. Elaine leads the operations of the President's Office and manages key strategic projects, meetings, retreats, special events, and official functions in support of the President and Board of Trustees.
Elaine has a long history with the university, having worked with three presidents: President Emerita Alice Hayes, President Emerita Mary Lyons, and current President James Harris. In 2003, Elaine was appointed Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trustees, collaborating with six past board chairs and currently working with her seventh.
Elaine serves as the primary liaison to the President’s Administrative and Strategic Leadership Teams and the EOC Policy Group. She is a member of the President’s Cabinet, the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education and the International Live Events Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of the Assumption.
