Tanynya Hekymara

Tanynya is dedicated to Restorative Justice, equity, and wellness. Founding Consultant of We Belong to Each Other Consulting and Co-Owner of California Anti-Racism Alliance. Her unique experience in every element of organizational leadership allows her to be a mindful, bold, and courageous Restorative Justice and Culture of Belonging Consultant. She works with schools, school districts, community organizations, universities, and companies to reshape narratives and systems through coaching, community learning, and co-creating strategies of support to transform. It is her abiding passion to bring about transformational change in educational, professional, and community spaces, to include all voices, heal, and to inspire communities to seek connection and justice. Tanynya continues to organize, volunteer, and teach in her community.  She is certified in Vinyasa and Kemetic Yoga, and guides yoga for elementary school students in Inglewood, California.  She serves on the Board of The H.E.arts:  Heartfelt Education Through the Arts and Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre, and as an advisor for Splendid Mola/Writers Happiness Movement’s Wisdom Advisory Council, the Southern California Restorative Justice Consortium Advisory Council, and is a member of the National Association of Community and Justice inaugural DEIJ Committee.
