In San Diego's underserved neighborhoods, Francisco Carbajal shines as a turnaround specialist, passionately inspiring at-risk youth to embrace education and community leadership, steering them away from the criminal justice system.
Francisco's notable contributions include implementing San Diego's Restorative Community Conferencing Program and the District Attorney's Juvenile Diversion Initiative at the National Conflict Resolution Center. He served as Commissioner and Chairperson of the Superior Court Juvenile Justice Commission and is currently a member of the California Restorative Justice Policy Coalition.
In recognition of his steadfast support for San Diego's LGBTQ+ community, Francisco has been honored by both the City of San Diego and the California State Assembly. As the founder of Peace Anger Love, Francisco continues to positively impact the community by providing training and education for organizations looking to implement restorative justice programs. He currently shares his expertise with the Good for Others Foundation and the University of San Diego's Center for Restorative Justice, where he is actively involved in their National Restorative Justice Coaching program.
