Mario Valladolid

Mario Valladolid is a resource counselor with the San Diego Unified School District, specializing in restorative justice practices. He has a long history of working with students on conflict resolution, gang intervention, and racial and human relations. He also serves as a Gang Commissioner for the City of San Diego. His work focuses on:

  • Restorative justice: Valladolid helps implement practices in schools that focus on building community and strong relationships to reduce conflict and create a safer, more supportive campus culture.

  • Youth advocacy: He has coordinated student groups like the "Hombre Noble Club" for Latino male students and the "Diallo Ajamu" program for African and African American students.
