Seeing and Visiting Campus
Visiting Campus
Visiting campus is the best way to get acquainted with buildings and class locations. Undergraduate Admissions offers both guided tours and self-guided tours year-round including during the summer. To schedule a tour of campus, please visit the Office of Undergraduate Admissions Campus Tours webpage.
Virtual Tours
Living outside of California can often complicate the process of visiting and touring campus. The University of San Diego offers a virtual tour to anyone who may be unable to visit in person.
Summer Send-Offs
Each summer the Office of Parent and Family Relations coordinates Summer Send-Off socials around the country to welcome incoming first-year Toreros and their families. At these events, USD representatives, administrators, parent board members, current parents and students are in attendance to answer your questions.
To find and register for the Summer Send-Off closest to you, please visit the Office of Parent and Family Relations website!
Connecting with Out-of-State Ambassadors
Out-of-State Ambassadors are responsible for connecting with prospective and incoming out-of-state students to support their commitment and transition to the USD community. Out-of-State Ambassadors work closely with the Ambassadors Club and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to assist with recruitment events such as open houses, student panels, congratulatory phone calls, as well as day and overnight hosting. They also engage with incoming students from beyond California in order to help you make connections at USD.
Pre-Orientation Trips
Pre-Orientation trips are optional off-campus programs that help ease the transition to USD by giving small groups of incoming students a chance to connect with amazing student leaders, meet new friends and have a better understanding of what to expect from college life at USD. To explore the options available for pre-orientation trips, check out the Outdoor Adventures and University Ministry pages.
