The Idea of Home

The Idea of Home
Tuesdays, from September 23 to November 11, at 4 p.m.
Humanities Center, Saints Tekakwitha and Serra Hall, Room 200
The Humanities Center’s three-year exploration of “Natural Landscapes and Human Meaning” concluded with the very human environment of the city. We enter further into the human realm this semester with that most personal and private of spaces, the home. Our speakers, drawn from a wide range of disciplines and subjects, will provide reflections on what it means to feel at home and how human — and nonhuman — animals have searched for places to reside and feel at ease.
