Alumna Mari Parladé '02 (JD) Sworn in as Eighth Judicial District Court Judge in Clark County, Nevada

SAN DIEGO (March 2, 2023) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law alumna, Mari Parladé ’02 (JD), was recently sworn in as a judge on the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada.

Judge Parladé previously worked in Family Court, serving children and families, for over 20 years. She is also Filipino American and was recognized in 2022 as a Woman of the Year: Legal & Woman of Faith by Gawad America Nevada for her dedication to empowering Filipino-American Women in Nevada.

As a student at the USD School of Law, Judge Parladé worked at USD’s Children’s Advocacy Institute where her name is included on the Children’s Advocacy Institute Changemaker Wall. When she graduated, she was recognized as an Outstanding Child Advocate.
