SAN DIEGO (December 8, 2022) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law Professor of Practice, Alysson Snow, was recently elected to the Lemon Grove City Council. Professor Snow leads the Housing Rights Project at the USD School of Law Legal Clinics.

Professor Snow’s campaign focused on finding solutions to the homelessness problem in Lemon Grove, an issue with which she is intimately familiar. She also promised to end the squabbling for which the Lemon Grove city council has become increasingly known. It is Professor Snow’s first time holding elected office.

About Professor of Practice Alysson Snow 

Professor Snow leads the USD Legal Clinic’s new Housing Rights Project which is dedicated to providing education, outreach, and direct client representation to serve the legal needs of low-income and undocumented tenants facing housing instability and homelessness. Professor Snow previously led and directed the Consumer Protection Division at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Inc. and served on the firm’s Leadership Committee. She has extensive litigation experience, having successfully represented more than a thousand consumer and housing clients. She designed and launched two debt defense clinics and San Diego’s bankruptcy self-help center and clinic. Before Legal Aid, Professor Snow worked for six years at DLA Piper, specializing in pharmaceutical and securities defense litigation.
