Announcing the Violence, Inequality and Power Lab at the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice
After more than two years, the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice is saying goodbye to its Impact:Peace program and relaunching it as the new Violence, Inequality and Power Lab.
The VIP Lab is a space where individuals can come together to discuss ways in which we can confront power imbalances that reinforce cycles of violence. The lab focuses not only on structures of power, but also the narratives of violence that have been created, shaping public opinion and narrowing the response options and prevention of violence.
The goal of the VIP Lab is to advance peace and justice for all. It will deliver practical, actionable ideas to partners and coalitions that can be implemented to confront power and reduce violence in our cities and at our borders, locally and globally.
