Torero Trailblazer: Zach Kinzler

After a grueling seven weeks of trial and deliberations, the outcome of the first social media addiction trial in U.S. history landed in favor of the plaintiff. The Lanier Law Firm won a landmark, multi-million dollar verdict against Meta and YouTube for deliberately designing social media platforms that are addictive and can cause severe mental health issues. 

The Lanier Law Firm relied on BoodleBox as their collaborative AI platform throughout the trial preparation and litigation of one of the most consequential cases in tech history.

Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering Alumni Council member Zach Kinzler ’23 (ISyE), ’24 (MS) serves as head of AI solutions for BoodleBox and explains his firm’s role in the landmark case: “When tasked with analyzing, organizing and collaborating at scale against the world's most powerful tech companies, they chose us.”
