Milo Winter, "Swift's 'Lilliputians'," 1912. Illustration in "Gullivers's Travels," Rand McNally New York.

Illustration in "Gullivers's Travels" of a giant lying on his back with little people adhering straps across his body to secure him to the ground.

To mark the 300th anniversary of Jonathan Swift’s ever popular novel, Gulliver’s Travels, join us for reflections on the book, its afterlife and its many layers of meaning. As part of the celebration, we will also screen Georges Méliès' 1902 movie, Le Voyage de Gulliver à Lilliput et chez les géants (Gulliver's Travels Among the Lilliputians and the Giants).

We will also hand out copies of the book to the first ten attendees.
