USD Law Alumnus Terry Babilla ’87 (JD) Celebrates BSN Sports’ Continued Partnership with USD Athletics

University of San Diego (USD) School of Law is pleased to recognize Terry Babilla ’87 (JD), who was featured in USD Athletics’ announcement of its extended multiyear agreement with BSN Sports and Nike.
Babilla joined BSN Sports, then known as Sport Supply Group, as general counsel in 1995 and held several executive positions before taking on his current role as president and chief operating officer. He guided the company through more than 100 mergers and acquisitions to transform the business into one of the nation’s leading distributors of custom sporting goods. Today, BSN Sports generates upward of $1.7 billion in annual revenue and supports a wide range of athletes and teams nationwide. Earlier in his career, he was a partner in the corporate and securities section at Hughes & Luce LLP, now K&L Gates, in Dallas.
Outside of BSN Sports, Babilla is a director of both the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, a premier trade group that supports sporting goods and fitness companies through research, advocacy, and member services, and the Dallas All Sports Association, a philanthropic organization that awards scholarships to underserved youth for postsecondary tuition and books.
While a student at USD Law, Babilla was managing editor of the San Diego Law Review. His connection to the university has continued to grow through BSN Sports’ renewed partnership with USD Athletics and Nike. As part of the collaboration, BSN Sports will remain the exclusive supplier of uniforms, apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment for all 18 of USD Athletics’ Division I programs, with Nike maintaining its role as the official outfitter.
"As a proud Torero and graduate of the USD School of Law, I'm excited to continue our work with the school and program that provided the foundation of my career," said Babilla.
