USD College Corps

The #CaliforniansForAll College Corps is a historic state-level investment in service that creates debt-free pathways for students who commit to serving in their communities for an academic year.

USD’s undergraduate students who complete 450 hours of service through the College Corps will receive up to $10,000 to help pay for college. Service-learning placements will be targeted in the following areas:

  • Environmental Stewardship: maintaining shared spaces and natural resources, hands-on activities
  • Food Insecurity: community garden, food/nutrition support, volunteer engagement
  • K-12 Education: subject-specific tutoring, homework support, mentorship
  • Community Health: homelessness and housing insecurity support, blind or low vision individuals support

What we’re looking for?

College Corps fellows must demonstrate a high level of motivation and community focus and will work with one of three focus areas during their time as a fellow. Enrolled students from across programs and majors are welcome to apply for the College Corps fellowship and will earn funding in exchange for their service during a full academic year.

  • Complete a total of 450 hours of service between August 2026 and May 2027.
  • Commitment to community and leadership develop
  • Actively participate in required trainings, cohort meetings, and bi-weekly timesheet submissions.
  • Engage in service initiatives as assigned.
