Theorists: Peter Honey and Alan Momford, David Kolb, Neil Fleming

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the learning preferences of pre-service and experienced elementary educators and the impact they may have on pedagogical knowledge. The study is looking to determine if differences exist in the groups and when/how they occur. It is argued that whatever teaching approach is used, it is important that teachers are aware of the changes that occur and apply these changes to classroom instruction.

This article offers instructors and instructional designers across educational sectors and situations new ways to think about addressing diverse learner needs, backgrounds, and expectations. The authors argue that learning technologies are important for effective teaching, as are theories and models and theories of learning as well as more immense power can be derived from connections between the theories, models and learning technologies.
