The Changemaking Center for K-12 Education supports educators, children, youth, families, and communities with the development of Changemakers who are empathetic towards others and find solutions to real world problems.
First Experimental Workshop in Linda Vista
We facilitated our first experimental workshop about Artificial Intelligence in Spanish for a small group of community members in the Linda Vista community! We explored how families can support their children with schooling and how they can utilize AI for daily life and routines, and they were excited about the many possibilities, including Learning English and getting help with language needed to go to the doctor.
Changemakers in K-12 Education: National and International Perspectives in San Diego and Madrid
Students in the Learning and Teaching Department in the School of Leadership Sciences participated in the course Changemakers in K-12 Education: National and International Perspectives in San Diego and Madrid, facilitated by Dr. Alexandrowicz. The students learned about the theory and practice of changemaking and engaged with effective models in extraordinary schools that reflected an approach to education based on empathy, collaboration, leadership, and action to help develop citizens who will change the world for the better.
