Help Build the Future During the Big Give
The Big Give is a 36-hour online campaign encouraging and welcoming gifts of all kinds in support of the USD School of Law. We CAMPAIGN for students, Veterans, academic programs, meaningful employment opportunities, advancements in technology, and education to serve the changing needs of the legal profession.
During the 2026 Big Give, over 277 donors banded together to raise over $944,903.
We look forward to the 2027 Big Give and sharing the opportunity to continue investing in law students and make meaningful impact!

The Big Give is a 36-hour fundraising campaign that provides an opportunity for supporters of USD School of Law to make a big impact on current and future students. Gifts made within the time frame will benefit the law school and will count for the totals of the Big Give.
The Big Give is a virtual event that is taking place online and over the phone within the 36-hour timeframe. Any individual, law firm or business can make a gift to support the Big Give. During the 36 hours, all gifts made online and over the phone will count toward the Big Give. Additionally, all gifts made prior to the Big Give through the 'Make Your Gift' button near the top of the page.
Anyone and everyone is encouraged to participate. This means alumni, students, faculty, staff, law firms, businesses and community partners.
You have the option of giving to a variety of areas of the law school. The area you choose to designate your gift will receive 100 percent of your contribution and used at their discretion to support their biggest need.
The highest fundraising priority is raising money for student scholarships, legal clinics fellowships, and building improvements at the law school. Gifts to support any of these areas are essential as we work to limit the debt load our graduates accrue, build a more diverse student body and attract top students who will become future leaders in the legal profession and in their communities.

Your gift to USD School of Law makes a big impact for our students, programs and the future of the law school. No matter the size or designation, your support plays a role in the future success of USD School of Law.
No. Gifts of all sizes are accepted and will benefit the Big Give.
You can make your gift online by clicking the 'Give Now' button to the right or over the phone during normal business hours by calling the Office of Development & Donor Relations at (619) 260-4692. Additionally, USD students will be calling alumni in the evenings to ask for contributions to the Big Give, so be sure to pick up your phone.
Absolutely. Your gift will be processed securely online and no credit card information will be saved or stored.
Only gifts made online or by phone during the Big Give will be counted in the totals. Your gift by mail will only be counted if received prior to the end of the last day of the Big Give and specifically earmarked for the Big Give.

Yes, we encourage supporters to become Sustaining Donors by visiting the secure online giving site and selecting "I would like to pay my gift in installments" or "I would like to make a perpetual recurring gift" under frequency of payment.
Thank you for making your gift already this year. Additional gifts made during the Big Give will help out and add to the total of the campaign. If you prefer not to make an additional gift, you can post about the Big Give on Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter or send personal emails to friends and colleagues.
