Wēpa is a wireless printing service that allows students to print documents to a wēpa kiosk from their cloud account, the web, a USB drive, their smartphone or any campus or personal computer. All USD students have a wēpa account already created and tied into their USDOne account. In order to print, you must have funds in your wēpa account (recommended) or campus cash account (using USD ID card).

Frequently Asked Questions
USD has partnered with wēpa to launch USD's Campus Printing. Wēpa provides wireless, cloud-based printing services to universities across the country. Wēpa is available to all USD Students, Faculty, Staff and Guests.
A wēpa account allows you to send files to the cloud, view your current print jobs, and deposit funds for printing. Wēpa accounts have been created for all USD students, faculty, and staff. Your wēpa username is your USDOne login (@sandiego.edu) and password. Guests can create their own wēpa account and print from any kiosk on campus.
This is a fee being imposed by the financial institutions every time you use your credit/debit card to pay for a print job. You can avoid this fee by using your USD Torero ID card or your wēpa account. You are not charged a transaction fee when you use your credit/debit card to deposit money into your wēpa account. Note: This fee is incurred when you use your Credit/Debit card to pay for prints at the wēpa print kiosk.
Log in to the kiosk manually with your USDOne login (@sandiego.edu) to verify your print job uploaded successfully. Contact the ITS Help Desk at 619-260-7900 to verify that your USD email account is active and has funds available.
Yes, if you are a USD guest and do not have a USD Torero ID card, you have two printing options:
- You can print directly from your USB, cloud Account or personal device and pay with your credit/debit card at the kiosk. Please note, there is a $0.40 transaction fee per print job when using credit/debit.
- You can register for a wēpa account, and deposit funds to your wēpa account with your credit/debit card online or from the wēpa mobile app.
If you are using a Mac, wēpa-Mono will print black and white single-sided prints and wepa-Mono Duplex will print black and white double-sided prints.
Yes, you can print all pages in your document or specify what pages to print.
USD wēpa printing kiosks only print on letter size paper (8.5”x11”) at this time. Please format your documents in this size before printing. For printing on special paper such as card stock or resume, please visit University Copy for more information or contact their office at (619) 260-4890.
When you visit the wēpa printing kiosk, you can access your print job by:
- Swiping your USD Torero ID card Login with your USDOne login(@sandiego.edu)
- Entering the release code that was generated when your print job was uploaded
- Login with your wēpa account (USD visitor)
When you send a file to print, you will receive a 6-digit release code. This is your confirmation that the file was successfully sent to the print queue. You may view your stored print jobs by logging into the wēpa mobile app or wēpa website with your USDOne login (@sandiego.edu).
You must log in to access your print jobs stored on the cloud. By logging in, the system also verifies the identity of the account holder.
Your document(s) will be stored in the system for six days.
There is no file size limit for laptop and desktop uploads. USB drives, web, and mobile uploads have a file size limit of 20 MB.
After selecting the payment option, the print job will begin printing. For documents over 10 pages, a ‘cancel’ button is provided to stop the print job. An automatic refund will occur and you will only be charged for pages that were printed. A window will appear after canceling the print job stating the amount charged for the number of pages printed.
Wēpa supports iOS and Android devices.
All Microsoft Office file types, .jpg, .png, and .pdf are supported.
The following types are supported on iOS and Android devices: .pdf, .rtf and all Microsoft Office file types.
Wēpa kiosks will read USB drives formatted in FAT, FAT32, NTFS or exFAT.

To request a refund, email help@wepanow.com and provide the following information:
*Please note that refund requests must be made within 3 business days of the incident*
- First and Last Name
- wēpa Username/Email
- Attach Scan or Picture of a representative print showing the defects such as fading, smearing, etc.
- Payment Option: wēpa account, Credit/Debit Card, wēpa Print Card, or Campus Student ID Card
- If Credit/Debit Card: last 4 digits
- Document Name
- Date of incident (Request for refund must be made within 3 business days)
If you do not have a representation of the bad print, then your refund request will need to be approved by a supervisor. This is to eliminate fraudulent refund requests.
Please NOTE: wēpa will no longer refund for user error. Please verify that your document is how you want it prior to uploading, and DOUBLE CHECK THE FINAL TOTAL PRICE at the Print Station prior to clicking on your Payment option. If you feel that the final cost of your document is not correct, then double check your upload. If you made the mistake of uploading your document in color, do not print it, re-upload in Black and White.
