In 2020, Apple began transtioning their computers to their own "M" Series ARM-Based "Apple Silicon" chips. At this time Microsoft has not permitted licensing of Windows at an enterprise-scale on ARM-Based computers. Therefore ITS has discontinued deploying and supporting desktop virtualization tools such as VMware Fusion, Parallels or UTM on USD macOS computers until permitted by Microsoft in manner that aligns with proper IT practices.
