Welcome Back, Returning Toreros!
As part of the University of San Diego’s commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and safe community, all students are required to complete an annual online education requirement which includes the following two courses:
Required Training:
- Hazing Awareness and Prevention
- Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates
Important Course Dates
- Week of August 18: course available in Vector (look for an invitation sent to your USD email from the Vector Solutions platform)
- September 22, 2025: deadline to complete required courses
We will be tracking course progress to ensure all students have complied with this educational requirement. While we don't expect this to be an issue, it is important that you ensure your compliance by completing requirements for all courses by the noted deadline. The course may include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure participants' attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the participant group as a whole and will never see individual answers.
IMPORTANT NOTE: A $250 non-compliance fee will be assessed directly to students who do not fully comply with course requirements within the indicated deadline. This is a non-negotiable non-compliance fee that will be assessed directly to your Student Account.
Course Access Information
Course access information will be emailed to returning undergraduate students the week of August 18, 2025. Please watch for emails sent from the University of San Diego through the Vector Solutions platform. The platform automatically sends students the assignment for the two required courses to their USD email where they are then prompted to login into the course platform using their USD single-sign-on information.
Once students are assigned courses in the platform, they can also access them by logging into the following website with their USD credentials: https://sandiegostudents-ca.vectorlmsedu.com/
Suggested/Not Required Training: Mental Well-being for Students
Please note that you will see an additional course assigned to you in the platform titled Mental Well-being for Students. This course will equip you with the essential skills and information to navigate the stressors and emotional challenges associated with college life. In this ~60 minute online course, you will practice self-care strategies, learn how to recognize when you or your peers are in distress, and how to take action to find additional support.
Important Note: this course is not part of the annual training that USD students are required to complete. This is an optional course that is suggested for ongoing learning and additional support to our USD student community. ***With that said, many USD student leaders (including Resident Assistants, Scholastic Assistants, Commuter Assistants, and other student leaders/employees) may be required to complete this course as part of their annual training and onboarding for their specific role on campus. If this applies to you, please complete this course by the deadline communicated to you by your supervisor.
Please email studenttraining@sandiego.edu if you have further questions regarding this course.
