Derek Legg is the Senior Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships for University Advancement at the University of San Diego. In this role he provides oversight and comprehensive management of university-wide corporate and community partnerships, sponsorship development, as well as promotional marketing, advertising, and communications.
He has nearly ten years of development experience in San Diego in the areas of corporate partnerships, event sponsorship, foundation relations, marketing, communications, volunteer management, individual giving, and event production. He has a proven track record of developing multi-level corporate partnerships, surpassing fundraising goals, and organizing large-scale fundraising events.
Derek currently serves on the Board of the Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade, and previously served as President of Point Loma Nazarene University's Business Alumni Auxiliary Board. He is a member of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce's LEAD San Diego Impact 2023 Cohort. Additionally, he holds memberships with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) San Diego, San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the North San Diego Business Chamber.
