Faculty Affiliates

The Center for Cultural Development (CCD) is a hub that brings together faculty, staff and students who are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice. To develop and amplify the important diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice work and research happening on campus, the CCD is seeking Faculty Affiliates. Membership as a CCD Faculty Affiliate is open to any USD faculty member whose teaching and/or research activities involve the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice.

Benefits

Faculty Affiliates are a community of scholars actively engaged in efforts to amplify the issues and complexities of diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice. The Faculty Affiliates program fosters collaborations across disciplines; increases our knowledge of the collective impact of diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice work being done on campus and provides a supportive scholarly environment for colleagues and students. The CCD amplifies Faculty Affiliate research by featuring it on the CCD website, showcasing it on social media platforms and across the larger campus and local community. There is no stipend associated with being a Faculty Affiliate.

Commitments

  • Participate in 2 CCD events each academic year
  • Provide information about publications, awards and research/project updates for the CCD to highlight on the website and feature in the annual Diversity Report
  • Participate in the annual Mosaic Diversity Research Symposium and encourage students to participate
