Government Transparency and Civic Engagement

Government transparency and encouraging public participation in regulatory decisionmaking is at the heart of CPPC’s advocacy work. CPPC attorneys are frequently called upon to testify before state agencies and the legislature regarding California’s “sunshine statutes” – the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act and the California Public Records Act. We also advocate for strong public member participation on state regulatory boards.
