The CPPC team in a meeting

Support CPPC

Although the Price Chair in Public Interest Law and the USD School of Law helps to support CPPC's academic component, Professor Fellmeth and CPPC professional staff must raise additional funding to finance the Center’s advocacy component. Such additional funding is generated through private foundation and government grants, test litigation in which CPPC is reimbursed its attorneys’ fees, compensated public interest intervention before the state Public Utilities Commission and Department of Insurance, and individual contributions.

Contributions to the Consumer Protection Policy Center are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations help to finance the representation of diffuse, powerless, and future interests, and to educate a new generation of public interest advocates. To make a donation to CPPC online, please visit the School of Law giving web page. Once there, please click the button to view a list of designation options and select "Consumer Protection Policy Center" in order to direct your contribution to CPPC.

CPPC is a proud recipient of several cy pres awards, and given its consumer protection work across a range of industries, it is an ideal candidate to receive cy pres funds in class action settlements.
