Dr. Niezen joined the University of San Diego in 2022 to teach in the department of Political Science and International Relations. Prior to that, he taught at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec for 18 years. He has also been an Associate and Assistant Professor at Harvard University. His research focuses on the social study of human rights, Indigenous peoples, social change in Africa, and the anthropology of organizations.
