Victoria Fu is a visual artist who internationally exhibits her moving image installations in galleries, museums and film festivals. Her work is part of the collections of major institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, Pérez Art Museum Miami, Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. Fu is a Guggenheim Fellow and has been supported by the Harpo Foundation Fellowship for Visual Arts, Irvine Fellowship at Montalvo Arts Center and Art Matters. Her work has been written about in major periodicals and publications, including Artforum, Hyperallergic, New York Times, Huffington Post, Washington Post, and Boston Globe.
Areas of Interest
Victoria Fu, MFA, regularly teaches all levels of Film/Video as well as upper-level interdisciplinary studios (including Senior Seminar and Thesis) in the capstone sequence and a course that cross-lists with Architecture (Film, Architecture & Media). She oversees Film/Video area area; the Film, Performance + Media Art concentration of the Visual Arts major in collaboration with the Music and Theater Departments, and co-directs the interdisciplinary Film Studies minor.
