Benton Moore brings his entrepreneurship and innovation expertise full circle in a career as an exited founder, business attorney, tech investor, and startup advisor. Benton leads the Brink SBDC’s mission to accelerate innovation, with over $1B in economic impact in the community. As lead instructor for the Lean Essentials Sprint, Benton has accelerated over 200 entrepreneurs from idea to venture.
As an active investor in NuFund Venture Group, San Diego Angels, and Castor Ventures, Benton stewards funds that support global sustainability. Benton also serves as Lead Mentor for Techstars San Diego, Technical Advisor for Southern California Energy Innovation Network, Advisor for NASDAQ Entrepreneurs, Climate Ambassador for MIT Sustainability, and Industry Mentor for the NSF I-Corps programs at UC San Diego, San Diego State University, and NASA.
Benton earned his JD and MBA (New Venture Management) from University of San Diego as well as specialties in Venture Capital (UC Berkeley), Strategies for Sustainability (Stanford), and Strategic Management and AI (MIT). In his changemaking career, Benton’s proudest accomplishment is coaching his daughter’s undefeated soccer team. Outside the office, Benton is usually hiking or downhill skiing.
