The Licensing program protects the University of San Diego's name, reputation, and image by permitting only appropriate uses and assuring that only quality products produced by reputable companies are associated with the institution.
- All University of San Diego trademarks are the exclusive property of USD. University authorization is required for all trademark uses.
- USD has delegated the responsibility for maintaining and managing trademarks to CLC (Powered by Learfield) in conjunction with the USD Licensing Director.
- Merchandise (including apparel) must be produced by a USD licensee. This includes any merchandise with a USD logo, graphic or USD-related text:
- Includes all items that are manufactured for internal or external use for sale and not for sale (merchandise for promotions, giveaways, and/or internal distribution - by/to staff, faculty, students, departments, groups or affiliates, etc.)
- A license must be obtained by anyone who wishes to use the terms or emblems (trademarks) of USD on merchandise (promotional items, gifts and/or apparel).
- All University logos and verbiage are trademarked (such as 'University of San Diego','Toreros', 'SD', 'USD').
Internal Order Process
All items and art should be brand compliant, approved internally and manufactured by a licensed vendor.

Hopnonymous Brewing Co. proudly brews Torero West Coast IPA and Torero Blonde Ale.
Hopnonymous Brewing Co. began serving the San Diego community craft beers in 2018. Owned by Taj (Brust) and Remy Zurita. Taj is a USD alum having earned degrees from the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Law.
