Torero Promise

The Torero Promise is a guaranteed admissions program being offered to students enrolled in the Dioceses of San Diego and San Bernardino high schools.

The Torero Promise is a guaranteed admissions program for the students graduating from:

  • Academy of Our Lady of Peace, San Diego, CA
  • Aquinas High School, San Bernardino, CA
  • Cathedral Catholic High School, San Diego, CA
  • Mater Dei High School, Chula Vista, CA
  • Notre Dame High School, Riverside, CA
  • St. Augustine High School, San Diego, CA
  • St. Jeanne de Lestonnac High School, Temecula, CA
  • Vincent Memorial Catholic High School, Calexico, CA
  • Xavier College Prep High School, Palm Desert, CA

To be eligible for the Torero Promise, a student must:

  • Achieve a weighted, recalculated grade point average of 3.7 by the end of their junior year (USD recalculates a grade point average based on courses in English, Math, Science, Social Science, Foreign Language and Religion. Weighted values are given for Honors, AP and IB course work).
  • Have taken and successfully completed at least three academic classes at the Honors, AP or IB level by the end of their junior year.
  • Have no disciplinary record during high school.
  • Submit the Common Application by our priority deadline of December 15.
