Torero For A Day
San Diego Locals
The San Diego Locals: Torero for a Day program is designed for students from San Diego County who have been admitted to USD for Fall 2025! As a #FutureTorero, you’ll get a true insider’s experience by spending part of the day on campus with a current USD student.
This is your chance to see what life is really like at USD, grab lunch in our award-winning dining halls, explore campus and connect with fellow San Diegans who are already part of the Torero community.
Please note that this program is only open to students who have been admitted for the Fall 2025 term.

Hear from our current students about why they chose to stay local:
From El Cajon

"I chose USD because it offers the best of both worlds: a top-tier education and the chance to stay close to the people and places that matter most to me. Staying local keeps me connected to my support system and allows me to pursue my academic and career goals all at once!"
From Linda Vista
Nyla '27
"I chose to stay local and go to USD because San Diego is the place I called home. I love the people, the vibes, and the fact that there is always something new to do!"
