University of San Diego Lactation Facilities

The University of San Diego provides four locations on campus for breastfeeding employees and students.

Locations on campus

  • Student Life Pavilion (SLP 420)
  • Founder's Hall (FH 106)
  • Mother Rosalie Hill Hall (MRH 120)
  • IPJ Second Floor Women's Restroom (Interior Room)

All rooms are equipped with a gliding chair, changing table, electrical outles, and sink or cleaning supplies. Neither a pump or refridgerator are provided. Mothers are responsible for transportation and proper storage of milk and bringing thier own equipment, storage containers, and cooler.

The USD Women's Center coordinates the use of lactation rooms in the Student Life Pavilion (SLP 420) and Founder's Hall (FH 106). Nursing mothers interested in reserving a space for regular nursing or breastmilk expression are asked to complete a registration form and return it to the respective office.

The University of San Diego complies with California Civil Code (Section 43.3) and supports California Legislative Resolution Chapter 152.1998 that supports and encourages the practice of breastfeeding.
