Adjunct Professor of Law
Professor Lynne Lasry is a 1979 USD School of Law graduate, having previously attended U.C. Davis and the University of Barcelona for a degree in comparative literature. She has been a trial lawyer and litigator for over 25 years, trying many complex criminal and civil cases at the federal and state level. From 1980 to 1982, Lasry focused on the representation of architects and engineers sued for malpractice. From 1982 to 1987, she was a prosecutor with the United States Attorney's office in San Diego, trying traditional federal crimes as well as civil rights violations, murder for hire, and arms and technology smuggling. She also participated in foreign counter-intelligence investigations. Since 1987, she has been in private practice. First as a partner of Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP and, since 2000, as a partner of Sandler, Lasry, Laube, Byer & Valdez LLP. Her current firm is a boutique litigation firm specializing in civil litigation and trial work. Over the last 20 years, Lasry has been the recipient of numerous local and national awards and has received recognition for her professional work and for teaching trial and pre-trial skills to law students and lawyers.
