Discovery: You Can’t Always Get What You Want, But You Must Always Get What You Need
January 27, 2007
Warren Hall, Room 131
Knowledge is power. Competent representation requires that you obtain, digest, and pursue information concerning your case. Beginning with a broad overview of the law, this seminar will provide you with guidelines for effective motion practice (including Pitchess motions), electronic discovery, informant cases, as well as discovery issues regarding expert witnesses. Ethical obligations and duties will be discussed throughout the seminar. In addition, we will update you on the challenge to the jury composition in San Diego County, including the relevant discovery issues.
This program is funded by a grant from Community Defenders, Inc. of San Diego.
