Welcome Out-of-State Students!
The Out-of-State Student (OOS) Program is designed to support students from outside of California through their college experience at the University of San Diego. Students at USD come from all 50 states and from 61 countries around the world. Students from outside of California made up almost half of the 2011 incoming freshman class!

Featured Events
Out-of-State and International Student Dinners
This annual dinner is the hallmark event of the OOS Student Program. The dinner will be held on this fall semester. Students will receive an invitation during Torero Days with information on how to register for the dinner.
Welcome Phone Calls
In August, incoming first-year students will receive a welcome phone call from a continuing out-of-state student from their region. This is a great opportunity for incoming students to talk with someone about the transition to college and California, and make a connection with a continuing student on campus.
Torero Days: Out-of-State Ice Cream Socials
During Torero Days, students are invited to attend an ice cream social hosted by their regional council members. This is a fun event where students will meet their regional council members as well as other new freshmen from their region. Times and locations will be listed in the Torero Days schedule.
