Commuter Student Support

As a commuter student, you bring something very important to campus. Many of you are San Diegans and know the city well and your varied perspectives are essential to the growth of our campus community. Please read below to find information on resources available to commuter students, and explore the menu on the left side for information on the programs the CSS offers.

Commuter Student Commons

The Commuter Commons, located in UC 119, serves as an on-campus home for entering freshmen and transfer commuter students, and any continuing students who have never lived on campus. This welcoming space is where students can study, get together with other students, or just relax between classes, and provides commuter students with resources they may need while they are on campus. The Commuter Commons student staff manages the space and is available to answer questions about USD and the transition to college.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday: 7:30am - 6:00pm, Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm

The Commuter Commons is closed during Intersession, Summer, and on holidays/breaks when there are no classes.
