Chicana/o Latina/o Graduate Participation Guidelines

This ceremony is open to all graduates who comply with the following guidelines:

  • Must be a graduating USD student eligible to participate in "USD Commencement 2008"
  • Submit completed form online by midnight on March 28, 2008
  • Ensure $150 fee for presentation and dinner or $50 fee for presentation only (cash or check) is received by Chicano Grad Treasurer at 4:00 p.m. on March 28, 2008
    • If you need assistance attaining the $150/50 fee by the deadline and would like the Graduation Committee to get you in contact with similarly situated graduates for fundraising purposes, e-mail chicanograd@gmail.com as soon as possible
    • Any checks should be made payable to :
      Chicana/o Latina/o Graduation
  • Please provide one 2x3 inch picture for the program by 5:00 pm on March 28, 2008 to be submitted by email (chicanograd@gmail.com) or to the Student Reps.
  • Please provide 5 - 10 pictures for the slideshow by 5:00 pm on March 28, 2008 to be submitted by email (chicanograd@gmail.com) or to the slideshow chair.
  • Please submit background music for the slideshow by 5:00 pm on March 28, 2008 to be submitted by email (chicanograd@gmail.com) or to the slideshow chair.
  • Participate in any Chicana/o Latina/o Committee fundraising activities.

Note: Table placement priority will be given to graduates on a first-come, first-serve basis as determined by the submission date on the online form assuming all aspects of the application are complete and turned in by 12:00pm on March 28, 2008. Additional tables may become available depending on space available.

Please note that the option to purchase one additional table will also be available on a first-come, first-serve basis as determined by the submission date of the online form assuming all aspects of the application are completed and turned in by 12:00pm on March 28, 2008. If additional tables are available, they will be allocated beginning April 12. Also check this website beginning April 4th to see who will receive the option to purchase a second table in addition to the cost. If payment for the additional table is not received by April 16th, then any rights to purchase this table will be forfeited.
