Chat & Talk Groups
There are a number of computer-oriented or Internet-available talk areas at USD. Some of them use e-mail, some of them use the popular global discussion area “Usenet News”. If they use e-mail, you can take part in them using what you normally use for e-mail. If they are Usenet, you will need a Usenet newsreader. Netscape Communicator has one built in, and you can find them at VersionTracker or other software download sites Besides the USD discussions, Usenet News allows you to take part in discussions with a wide variety of people, on a wide variety of topics, from around the world.
